It started
one day know one knows when that Cynthia Allen
and Cynther Jones had the idea of creating the
opportunity for new artists to be discovered.
They have have heard many professional artist
at events they attended but Texas was lacking
new artists especially in the Gospel Music field.
They decided to give a Gospel Talent Show and
from that show Revealing Talents began.
The
show was called BIG LABOR DAY SUNDAY’S
BEST, later changed to Big Labor Day Texas Sunday’s
Gospel Showcase which was held at the Liberty
Baptist Church 2502 N. Broadway Tyler, Texas.
Singers, Musicians, Dancers, Rappers, Groups
all took apart in this blessed occasion. The
winner would receive $1000.00 and the runner-up
would get $500 in prize money. Contestants were
to be judged on their music, lyrics, vocal ability,
stage presence and overall presentation and
performance by a celebrity panel.
The event
was hosted by Gayle Bush / Host of: “The
Anointed Testimony Hour” KJTX 104.5 FM
Radio Longview, TX and Kenneth Butler “The
Voice of East Texas” / Host of: "Kenneth's
Korner" KGLD 1330 AM radio Pres. Of Gospel
Music Workshop of America Tyler, TX Chapter.
Other special invited guest were Antonio "AJ"
Johnson Broadcaster, Comedian, Emcee, TV Producer,
Restaurant Owner also Trini & Trisha Green
Recording Artists; Writer & Musician.
After
a competitive competition Ms. Sherry Hawkins
now known as “Sherry Berry Gospel”
was selected the winner and is currently doing
well. During that time Jewels and Gems was
created to offer young artist of all mediums
to have their gifts discovered. Diamond Quality
was already in place where experienced artist
has gained notoriety by way of interviews
and articles on the C. Allen Productions Unlimited
website.
Through
the popularity of BIG LABOR DAY SUNDAY’S
BEST or Big Labor Day Texas Sunday’s
Gospel Showcase, Revealing Talents was created.
Jewels & Gems and Diamond Quality under
one umbrella giving more new and experienced
artists the opportunity to be featured on
the C.A.P.U. website. We realize that this
