Cynther
Jones began her media entertainment career, as a
radio announcer ,for KJTX 104.5 FM Radio Station, in 1993.
Cynther's passion for radio and her unique voice, landed
her an opportunity to host "Young Saturdays" Radio
Show, during prime media time, on Saturday afternoons. This
unique show format consisted of upbeat contemporary music,
interviews, and a "LIVE" call-in talk show. The
show became a very popular radio show, in East Texas, attracting
a culturally-diverse audience, both Christian and non-christian.
This show was the beginning of Cynther's desire to producer
her dream radio show, The "Cynther Jones" Show,
that currently airs on KGLD 1330 AM, on Thursdays, at 11:30
A.M. The show is accessible world-wide, online, at www.kgld.org.
Cynther
Jones has been honored to interview many gospel celebrities,
on "Destiny Celebrity Spotlight," a special segment
of The "Cynther Jones" Show, featuring celebrities
such as Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones, The Late Dr. Albertina
Walker, Stellar Award-winning and Hall of Fame Inductee,
Mrs. Tracy Morgan, Mr. Micah Stampley, Mrs. Beverly Crawford,
Bishop Greg Davis, Bishop Paul S. Morton, and many others.
Cynther was nominated for a stellar award, in 2010, for
community outreach. Even though Cynther has faced many challenges,
associated with being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, a
mental illness. Due to her passion for mental health, she
launched a new segment of her radio show," Mental Health
Spotlight," featuring mental health consumers and mental
health professionals, who treat mental illness. "I
would like to educate the public about mental illness, in
order to decrease the stigma, associated with it,"
said Cynther. She was appointed mental health consumer advocate
for Nacogdoches County, in 2007, traveling on a state-funded
grant and serving as a voice for other mental health consumers.
She served as president of the National Alliance on Mental
Illness, Nacogdoches, Texas, chapter, in 2008. Cynther has
received numerous certifications, awards, and media recognition
for her outstanding achievements as a mental health consumer
advocate. In particularly, Mrs. Barbara Bass, her local
major, signed a proclamation, on January 8, 2010, officially
declaring it as "Cynther Jones Day"in Tyler, Texas.
She served a praise reporter for " Fruit of The spirit"
Television Ministry, in 1997. Cynther has serves as emcee
for many concerts, musicals, fashion shows, talent shows,
and pageants. The "Cynther Jones" Show will be
aired on several other radio stations, this fall. Look out
